About Us

Hello There!

I know, lame Star Wars joke. My name is Benjamin Wallace. I'm the owner of Wallace Workshop LLC. First and foremost, I do my best to be a man of God. I'm not perfect at it, but I try. I've been a husband to my beautiful wife for 13 years, and a father to two amazing kids for 9 years. Being a husband and father are my greatest joys in life. I current work as a Firefighter/Medic in a local county and have been doing so for the last 16 years. I love my job and helping others.
On my days off, I spend most of my time with my family or in the workshop. Often, we spend time together in the workshop. I enjoy the time we get to work in the shop as a family and creating core memories for the boys.

The Prequel

I've always enjoyed working with my hands. When I was a kid, I would take things apart and put them back together. I would take scrap wood from my neighbor's fence and make things out of them. I make a makeshift outdoor table for my mom. I made a bunch of crosses. One summer my dad and I made some dog houses from OSB, 2x4, and roofing shingles. The dog houses lasted for years and crafted a core memory for me. I built built something with my father. Building those dog houses sparked my interest in building with my hands.

As the years went on, my interest changed. I was still working with my hands. I

went from building dog houses to building computers and working on my car. Once I got married, it was working on mountain bikes, fixing our beater cars in the parking lot, or doing my best to string up Christmas lights in our apartment. Around this time, I just got hired with the fire department. Mostly tearing things up but doing so with my hands. I also worked a side gig for a few years building decks and remodeling homes. Mostly as a laborer, learning some of the trade as I go.

When our first child was born, I started to get back into woodworking. Our newborn didn't sleep well the first few months so to give mom a break I would sit with him and try to get him back to sleep. I started watching woodworking videos on YouTube. They would often put our child to sleep, but I stayed up watching the likes of Jay Bates, Steve Ramsey, Jimmy Jimmy DiResta, and David Picciuto. So I started building shelves in the kid's rooms, step stools for the bathrooms, and wooden crosses to put over their doors.

Eventually I started to make pens. I had a view videos go "viral" on Tiktok of a pen I made for my dad one year for Christmas. I even got him turning pens at one point. It's kind of funny how he got me started building with my hands and I got him started in Pen turning. Then I started to build wooden American Flags for friends and family. I also sold pens. I really enjoyed this and considered starting a business.

Wallace Workshop LLC

The Wallace Workshop LLC was established in 2021 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The official formation of our LLC followed the development of a unique product designed for rolling coins. Initially, our focus was on American Flag decor and handcrafted pens. However, a viral video showcasing our coin trays propelled us into the realm of 3D printing.

Over the past few years, we have achieved significant success in selling coin trays through various platforms, including our website, Etsy, and TikTok. We've expanded our range of 3D Printed products, American Flag Decor, and other woodworking related decor items.

We have been fortunate in our business endeavors, allowing us to reinvest profits and steadily expand our operations. Each year, we have managed to grow incrementally. This year, we are excited to enter the laser engraving market, a move that will enable us to attract a broader customer base and explore new growth opportunities. Stay tuned for the launch of new products and services that will further enhance our offerings.

Where do we go from here?

Forward. Where every God leads us seems to be the simplistic answer. But it's true. I don't think Wallace Workshop would be a business without God's grace. We want to continue to make our customers feel special when they purchase our products. We've seen how much joy our work brings to people who buy something for themselves or for a loved one. As we move forward, our focus will remain on creating unique, high-quality items that bring happiness and meaning to our customers' lives. We will also explore new ways to innovate and expand our offerings, staying true to our values and the passion that drives us. By doing so, we hope to reach more people and continue to make a positive impact through our craftsmanship and dedication.
